Aerotek is accepting applications for remote certified medical coders. These positions are long term indefinite contracts.
These positions will work from home with equipment provided. Applicants must maintain strict quality and production standards. Most coding will be ICD-9 with a strong focus on HCC coding.
All applicants must have 2 plus years of medical coding experience with preferred experience in multi specialty clinics.
All applicants must have nationally recognized coding certificate and have high speed internet.
The first 8 weeks will be Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm Central Standard Time. Long term coders will be allowed to work a flexible schedule but must maintain a 40-hour work week.

The University Pediatric Foundation, University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics, Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center is currently recruiting for a Scheduling - Program Assistant I.
The University Pediatric Foundation serves as an extension of the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine at The University of Louisville. We provide medical services to over 3000 children monthly through our ambulatory care centers and specialty practices.
The Scheduling - Program Assistant will:
• Schedule in-house patients using Centricity scheduling system.
• Schedule WCEC therapy patients.
• Contact patients on waiting list to replace cancelled appointments.
• Log in next day patients, ensuring that all information is entered into Centricity system correctly and that an order sheet is prepared for each patient.
• Send out recall letters to families regarding follow-up appointments with WCEC.
• Run daily superbills for next day patients, making sure there is a superbill for each patient.
• Perform various laboratory nursing procedures for designated patients. This includes vena-puncture; visual screens; urine collection and specimen preparations for mail out pick up and other procedures as deemed necessary by physicians within credential limitations. This requires continued education for above aspect by law.
• Serve as third backup person for WCEC Front Desk and child care duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should have the following:
• Certification or Training beyond the high school level

The Clinical Assistant provides clinical patient care support in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse. In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Clinical Assistant is responsible for the care of the patient. -Performs delegated and ancillary basic nursing skills, including activities of daily living, monitoring of patient condition, body mechanics, providing nutritional support and other activities as appropriate to clinical service, in accordance with hospital standards, nursing standards of care, and policies and procedures.
-May perform skills, within scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel. These skills include, but are not limited to, the collection of specimens, use of specialized equipment, restraint monitoring and patient elimination procedures. Communicates performance of these skills to the patient’s Registered Nurse and other members of the healthcare team.
-Performs functional assignments per unit standards of care, including such activities as patient admission and discharge procedures, unit environmental organizational tasks, and others as appropriate to service.
-Performs and documents point-of-care testing, patient mobility and exercise, comfort, rest, sleep and care needs, patient hygiene, grooming, dressing, skincare, dietary, toileting and elimination needs.
-Assists with transport.
-Performs clerical duties; use of a fax machine, computers, medical transcription, and Xerox machines may be required.
-Assists other members of the nursing care team and/or other disciplines.
-Demonstrates appropriate emergency and patient safety procedures, including management of safety devices and equipment. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.
-Participates in training, development and continuing education activities to improve role functioning.
-Responsible for knowing and demonstrating National Patient Safety standards. Participates in department-based activities and initiatives to improve and ensure a safe environment.
-Participates in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct.

Additional Requirements |
-High School Graduate or equivalent and completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant Training Program.
-External candidates must have one of the following: 3 months as a Certified Nursing Assistant, or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Course.
-Internal candidates must have a minimum of 1 year work experience with the University of Louisville Hospital and completion of an onsite CA Fundamental Class.
